Branch Membership in AAUW

 Please join us!

The Reston-Herndon Area Branch, founded in 1969, is a vibrant group of
women and men dedicated to empowering women and girls by championing
their success in higher education and pushing for bold policy solutions to
create lasting change. In addition to National opportunities offered to all
AAUW members, branch members enjoy networking at the local level,
serving in local and state leadership roles, sponsoring community action
projects, and lobbying on AAUW priority issues. If you enjoy this level of
activism and engagement, then branch membership is the right choice for
you! We meet often and participate in programs related to our mission of
supporting girls and women on issues ranging from pay equity to gender
equality to Title IX protections, as well as advocacy on women’s health and
educational concerns. We also enjoy many opportunities to participate in
branch-sponsored activities, social events and cultural outings in Northern
Virginia and the DC metropolitan area.

HOW TO JOIN! 

You are invited to join AAUW  (national, state, and local branch) by sending a
check for $104.00, made payable to  AAUW Reston-Herndon, to the Branch Treasurer:

NATIONAL DUES
Total membership dues for the Reston-Herndon Area Branch for 2025-26 is
$104 per member.
Membership dues are dedicated as follows:

National: As of Jan 2024, all National dues are FULLY  tax deductible:
April 1, 2025 through March 30, 2026 = $  74.00
State:
July 1, 2024 (FY25) = $  15.00
Branch:
July 1, 2024 (FY25) = $  15.00

TOTAL =  $104.00

HOW TO RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Renew directly online:
–  Go to the aauw.org website and log in to enter your account in the
Community Hub.
–  Scroll down, and click on the blue RENEW button.
– Go through the steps to confirm/edit your AAUW information (several
pages).
– Renew your membership by credit card.
OR
Renew by check:
–  Send a check made payable to AAUW Reston-Herndon for $104.00
